Circles of Trust∗

چکیده
We study strategic transmission of rival information among individuals who share altruistic relations. Information sharing naturally takes the form of word-of-mouth communication. Yet, the social forces that promote communication can also undermine it. Indeed, larger social networks may share less information, and better-connected individuals may get less information. Therefore, when forming networks, individuals strategically cluster into groups that share information and trust by limiting other connections as a commitment to secrecy. ∗S. Bivariate mean value interpolation on circles of the same radius
We consider bivariate mean-value interpolationproblem, where the integrals over circles are interpolation data. In this case the problem is described over circles of the same radius and with centers are on astraight line and it is shown that in this case the interpolation is not correct.
متن کاملA user-centric PKI based-protocol to manage FC2 digital identities
The proliferation of e-services (e.g. e-commerce, e-health, e-government) within the emerging digital Identity Management Systems make Internet an undeniable convenient and powerful tool for users. However in this environment, users are required to manage several digital identities and a great number of personal data. As such, simplification of users’ involvement is highly needed while increasi...
متن کاملQuaternionic Product of Circles and Cycles and Octonionic Product for Pairs of Circles
This paper concerns with a product of circles induced by the quaternionic product considered in a projective manner. Several properties of this composition law are derived and on this way we arrive at some special numbers as roots or powers of unit. We extend this product to cycles as oriented circles and to pairs of circles by using the algebra of octonions. Three applications of the given pro...
متن کاملElastic Behavior of Functionally Graded Two Tangled Circles Chamber
This paper presents the numerical elastic solution for a real problem, functionally graded chamber of hydraulic gear pumps under internal pressure. Because of the similarity and complexity for the considering geometry, a bipolar cylindrical coordinate system is used to extract the governing equations. The material properties are considered to vary along the two tangled circles with a power-law ...
متن کاملJournals and conferences in discourse
It is a true pleasure to introduce this issue. It is simply interesting and insightful. In a previous editorial, we discussed ways of promoting circles of discourse within the community in general and within the journal in particular (Te'eni, 2012). The articles in this issue demonstrate the kind of interesting and surprising discourse we look for in our circles. Wouldn't it be nice to be able ...
متن کاملTrust in transition [EBRD - Working papers]
This paper examines the role of trust in transition. Trust is an important ingredient in the institutional infrastructure of a market economy. Trust between economic actors allows efficient trade to take place in the face of uncertainty and constrains opportunistic behaviour. Trust in state institutions reduces the costs of rule enforcement and supports collective action. A key message of the p...
